Why you should join us!
Please consider joining Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary 45! The single most important asset our Auxiliary can have is your membership! It's not only good for our Auxiliary, it's good for You, all Veterans, and your Community!
Each member pays a yearly membership fee of just $15 (or you can become a lifetime member!). Membership fees from all across the Nation are pooled and used to help Disabled American Veterans through large National Programs as well as Politically. This is so very important in continueing the campaign to help ALL Veterans! These brave people have serviced to keep us free!!! We need to serve to insure they receive Medical Care and Benefits. That's how your membership dues are put to work
We are a new unit but have already had several events. These events are work, but we try our best to have a little fun with them too! And the more people to share the work, the more fun!
We need your mind! The more people working on ideas, the better the ideas flow.
We work as a unit, together. What may be hard for one person is easy for another. We each do what we can and help each other.
We also work independantly. A few members enjoy bowling, they organized a bowling tournament with proceeds benefiting Disabled American Veterans. Someone else is great with flower arrangements, she made patriotic bouquets for our local cemetaries on Veterans Day. A new mother can't attend meetings, but she's great baking cupcakes and sending them with another member for bake sales. Another member had to work and couldn't attend the bake sale, but she made the posters.
The point being, everyone has a different lifestyle, but everyone can be an active contributing member of our DAV Auxiliary in their own way. We never ask anyone to do more than they want to do! Please don't think joining us would be a big obligation your lifestyle doesn't permit at this time! We would be happy to have your membership and fellowship any way you can offer it.
